Bio

ERIC PATERNOT began his documentary film career at Harvard University, where he founded his own investigative journalism show called Crimson EDITION. While studying Government and Islamic Studies, Eric writes, directs, produces, and edits three documentaries covering homelessness in Harvard Square, the self-perception of the black community at Harvard, as well as Harvard’s charm offensive known as pre-frosh weekend. Eric then helps to create a news show featuring short clips on relevant campus issues, only to become the new president of HUTV (Harvard University Television) www.hutvnetworks.com. Finally, Harvard Alumni Association decides in 2008 to mandate Eric as a producer for the class of 2008 official video. Always eager to discover the world, Eric spends the summer of 2006 and 2007 in Lebanon and Yemen, respectively. Resolute in his passion, he spends the summer of 2008 working for ABC NEWS Nightline, in New York City.

After graduation, Eric successfully obtains a George Peabody Gardner Traveling Fellowship, allowing him to spend one year in Libya to pursue his passion in the middle of the desert. At the same time, Eric was granted admission to the Columbia School or Journalism where he will return in 2010 to complete a graduate degree in broadcast.
